Beaton's Bright Young Things

For my menswear elective I have been researching 1920's mens fashion and 'The Bright Young People' of London at the time. I have been fascinated by this set of people for a while but I was especially interested in one of these glamorous set in particular, Stephen Tennant. Tennant was a young member of the aristocracy said to make an art out of doing nothing, he devoted his life to the pursuit of pleasure, attending costume parties several nights a week and setting off on jaunts round the countryside probably ending in another party. 

For my project I am going to look at fusing together the individual style and attitude of the 1920's Bright Young Things with modern equivalents in London today.
