Vive Le Revolution

9/03/11

I have been working on my essay for Theory and Context, 1000 words on a subject of our choice.
My essay is on how men's fashion changed after the French Revolution and whether it was the Sans Culottes of Paris who were the catalyst in this change.
I have been reading about the 18th Century Macaroni style of dress, which was popular before the revolution and then early 19th century dress, including what was worn by the Dandies and then the sombre Victorian dress that took over.
